2013 Meeting at
Fall Creek Falls State Park in Pikeville, TN
The Inland Bird Banding association met jointly with the Eastern Bird Banding Association (EBBA) in beautiful Fall Creek Falls State Park in East Tennessee from April 5-7. Highlights of this meeting included:
A welcoming reception and dinner featuring a southern welcome.
Early-morning birding in the Cumberland: home to birds of the southland, featuring spring passage for migrants bound for the eastern US and Canada, located in a world of American history.
Paper presentations on banding, marking, and tracking topics and their application to the world of science and education.
EBBA and IBBA business meetings and an opportunity to meet socially and professionally with leaders in the fields of science, technology, and application of the wonders of banding, marking and tracking our avifauna.
On Saturday night a fine southern dinner was topped off by an auction of books, equipment, and tools chosen just for this “company of banders.”
Optional field trips were offered on Sunday morning.
