Join us for the Inland Bird Banding Association annual meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Kalamazoo Nature Center (KNC), Kalamazoo Michigan and is hosted by the Kalamazoo Valley Bird Observatory, a program of the KNC on September 29 thru October 1, 2017.  The KNC provides over 1,100 acres of various habitats for birds and wildlife.  There are over 14 miles of trials for visitors, ponds, wooded forests, and two restored prairies.  KNC also operates several off site features which include the DeLano Homestead, Urban Nature Park in downtown Kalamazoo, Nature’s Way Preschool and the Heronwood Field Station.

We have many great speakers lined up to talk about current bird research, the Midwest Migration Network (MMN), Molt studies and of course the annual update from the BBL with Tony Celis-Murillo.

Our keynote speaker will be Christopher Tonra, Ph.D. Ohio State University. He will talk about the Motus network – a series of towers being set up to track bird movements.
