The World Bird Sanctuary, Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and the Audubon Center of the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary are co-sponsoring the IBBA 2018 Annual conference held in St. Louis, MO on Saturday, October 26 thru Sunday, October 28.

The meeting will be at MDC’s Powder Valley Nature Conservation Nature Center, with the Saturday evening Social at the Audubon Center at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary. On Sunday, we will be at the World Bird Sanctuary for a tour and program.

Registration starts at 5:00 PM at Powder Valley.  You may come early to walk the trails and visit the nature center!

The conference will be intermixed with banding demonstrations, workshops, paper presentations and special speakers both Friday and Saturday evening.  During the IBBA General Member Meeting on Saturday, we will be holding elections.  The ballot is here.  On Friday, we will be welcomed to Missouri by our state ornithologist Sarah Kendrick.

As we will be at the Audubon Center on Saturday evening, we will have speakers providing information about the Trumpeter Swans that winter at the sanctuary and the special Interior Least Tern Re-introduction program by the Army Corp of Engineers.
